Because of Inheritance, Porridge Seller Killed by His Own Brother in Cepogo Boyolali

 

Inherited murder cases often occur in Indonesia. This time it happened to a porridge seller named Jumiyem (64 years old) who was slaughtered by his own nephew who held a grudge against him. This incident occurred in Gubug Village, Cepogo, Boyolali, Central Java.

Tukiyem's body was found in a deplorable condition covered in blood on Thursday 6-4-2023 in the morning. The police who came to the location immediately investigated the crime scene and took the victim's body to the hospital for an autopsy.

The autopsy results showed that the victim died because she received violence on her body. The most severe violence was found in the head, precisely in the temple area. The police suspect that the victim's head was hit with a gas canister.

"From the results of the examination, it was found that the victim died because there was a blunt object hit to the head. If analyzed from the objects around the victim, most likely he was hit using a gas canister," said AKBP Petrus Parningotan Silalahi, Kapolres Boyolali.

 This case had become mysterious and difficult to solve even though the police had deployed sniffer dogs to sniff out who the perpetrators were. This is because the victim lives alone and it is difficult to confirm that the victim's belongings may have been lost and the perpetrator fled.

However, thanks to the alertness of the police in solving this case, the perpetrators were finally arrested on Monday 10-4-2023. There are two perpetrators and they are husband and wife. The husband with the initials NRY (46 years old) was the mastermind behind the murder while his wife was MDM who helped the suspect NRY sell loot from the victim. It was not suspected that NRY still had a blood relationship with the victim, namely the victim's nephew

"The two perpetrators have been secured in the Bandungan area, Semarang Regency. The initials are NRY and MDM respectively. NRY is the main executor who still has the status of the victim's nephew. Meanwhile, his wife only helps the suspect sell goods resulting from crime," explained Petrus.

 A search at the perpetrator's house found clothes and tools used during the murder which were evidence of NRY's crimes.

"The motive for the perpetrators to commit this heinous murder was because the parents of the perpetrator and the victim often argued over inheritance issues and the perpetrator wanted to control the victim's property," Petrus said.
